We offer an integrated one year subspecialty training to those interested to learn about neurological issues that occur at the different stages of women's lives from early adulthood, pregnancy, perimenopause, and aging. The focus of this program is to develop expertise in the management of four key pillars of neurological conditions with sex-specific focus: headache, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and cerebrovascular disease. Elective time will also be offered in sleep neurology, obstetrics/obstetrical medicine, neuroendocrine, neuromuscular and neuropsychiatry. During this time, the fellows will have an opportunity to generate research ideas while learning to apply sex- and gender- sensitive methods in health research. Fellows will participate in weekly journal clubs and case-based discussions within each subspecialty based on their interest. |
