He will continue to build on these relationships and work closely with me, with the Vice President Medical Affairs and with leaders across UHN to improve quality of care, patient experience, and provider wellness. Dr Sabbah will began his term on March 6th, 2019.
As Dr. Sabbah takes up this role, it is also a great pleasure for me to thank Dr. Anil Chopra for his outstanding leadership as Medical Director of the Emergency Departments over the past 13 years. Anil has been a spectacular leader, highly regarded across UHN, who is now directing his attention to the role of Vice President Medical Affairs and continues his role as Division Director of the Division of Emergency Medicine, Department of Medicine. Dr. Chopra built an excellent foundation of care and scholarship in our Emergency Departments and on behalf of all of us at UHN I hope you will join me in thanking him for his outstanding leadership and contributions.
