We are pleased to announce that Dr. Tim Dalseg has accepted a full time appointment as lecturer, clinician-teacher in the Division of Emergency Medicine, Department of Medicine.
Dr. Tim Dalseg is currently staff in the Emergency Department at UHN. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Ottawa. During his subspecialty year of residency training he completed the Health Education Scholars Program which is offered through the Academy for Innovation in Medical Education and the UofO Skills and Simulation Centre. Dr. Dalseg recently completed a fellowship at the Department of Innovation in Medical Education at UofO. In addition, Dr. Dalseg is in the process of completing his Master's in Medical Education at the University of Dundee.
Dr. Dalseg’s academic and scholarly interests are in health systems as they relate to medical education. He has focused his learning to become a future leader in medical education. Currently he is conducting research with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) on the topic of residency accreditation on a national level. This study, a first of its kind, will assist in shaping the way that residency programs undergo accreditation in the years to come. Dr Dalseg is also collaborating on a trial program, based on research he previously published regarding outcome feedback in emergency medicine training program. His research is leading change in residency education so that it can take full advantage of the valuable learning opportunity patient outcome feedback can provide to residents.
