Welcome to the very first Department of Medicine Alumni Newsletter! We are so excited to reach out to you.
2019 is a big year for us in the Department of Medicine: we’re celebrating 100 years since the establishment of the Sir John and Lady Eaton Professor and Chair of Medicine. The first endowed chair at the University of Toronto, this gift has had a transformative impact on academic medicine in Canada.
We are very proud of our history, and equally proud of where we are heading in the future. You have all been a part of the evolution of this amazing department and it is high time we acknowledged that!
We want to share with you what your fellow graduates are up to and how our department has evolved and grown. I am delighted to report that we are thriving thanks to the contributions of the Eaton Legacy Gift and all of you. Stay tuned for ways to get involved and join the celebration.
