Dr. An-Wen Chan has been promoted to to the rank of Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto. We congratulate Dr. Chan on this well deserved recognition of his academic excellence and achievement.
Aaron Drucker

Canadian Dermatology Association, 2020 Research Award in Dermatology
Dr. Aaron Drucker has been awarded the CDA Research Award in Dermatology for 2020 for “Systemic Immunomodulatory Treatments for Patients with Atopic Dermatitis: A Systematic Review and Network Meta-analysis,” which was published in JAMA Dermatology. The award will be presented during the virtual Annual General Meeting. This award recognizes published research that expands understanding of dermatologic disease. Dr. Drucker's review assessed the efficacy and safety of existing and experimental medications, for which evidence to date had not been well established due to limitations in research designs. This research advances clinical knowledge and will support dermatologists in optimizing care for patients with atopic dermatitis.
Canadian Dermatology Foundation, 2020 Grant
Dr. Aaron Drucker has been awarded a grant of $100,000 over two years from the Canadian Dermatology Foundation to support research on eczema, steroids and fractures. The CDF is the largest peer review granting agency in Canada that is devoted exclusively to supporting dermatology and skin research.

American Academy of Dermatology, Top Cited Authors 2020
Dr. Aditya Gupta has been ranked among the top 20 most cited authors in dermatology. A recent J Am Acad Dermatol article details the results of a bibliometric analysis of the most cited articles and authors in dermatology from 1974-2019, and Dr. Gupta was listed as the 7th most cited author in dermatology. This is a testament to the quality of Dr. Gupta's research, and demonstrates how much he contributes to the University of Toronto and the broader medical community, who rely on his publications to review relevant dermatology topics, learn novel techniques, and ultimately inform health care decisions - congratulations Dr. Gupta!
