The Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto hosts a yearly workshop specifically designed for promotion candidates, administrators, and mentors. This comprehensive session will provide in-depth coverage of the entire promotion process and the specific requirements necessary for achieving senior promotions within the university. 

Facilitated by Drs. Moira Kapral and Ed Etchells, this workshop is tailored for candidates preparing for the 2025-26 promotion cycle. The session aims to equip participants with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the promotion process effectively. Topics include detailed guidelines on dossier preparation, understanding the criteria for promotion, and strategies for meeting the university’s high standards of academic and professional excellence.

This workshops is an essential component of promotion preparation, ensuring that all candidates are well-informed and adequately prepared. Promotions resulting from this cycle will take effect on July 1, 2026.
