Description:

This fellowship will provide the candidate with comprehensive exposure to cancer rehabilitation in order to gain advanced skills in the design and delivery of rehabilitation, exercise and lifestyle interventions in the cancer population.

Specific objectives are listed as follows:

• Experience and hands-on supervision in diagnosis and management of cancer-related neurologic and musculoskeletal impaiments, including common issues such as fatigue, brain fog and lymphedema
   
• Exposure to a comprehensive cancer rehabilitation program including workflow, patient selection and screening criteria, clinical assessments, rehablitation prescription, monitoring, follow up 
   
• Working with multi-disciplinary teams including exercise physiologists, physiotherapists, nurses, dieticians, psychologists, social workers and physicians in inpatient and outpatient settings
   
• Research opportunities in the areas of cancer rehabilitation and survivorship
   
• Education opportunities with continuing medical and inter-professional conferences
