Barrie Rose Research Day in Palliative Medicine
The 2024 annual Barrie Rose Research Day in Palliative Medicine was held on June 20th at the Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy, University of Toronto.
This was another extremely successful event, including an insightful presentation by keynote speaker Dr. Hsien Seow, Canadian Research Chair in Palliative Care and Health System Innovation and Professor in the Department of Oncology, McMaster University. Dr. Seow spoke on how to create change as a researcher and keys for navigating a life changing illness. The keynote address sparked discussion on influencing change and improving families and patients experience with illness. Ten oral presentations and 55 poster presentations provided an overview of the important and exciting research underway in palliative medicine in the University of Toronto.
