Description:

The Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation fellowship is an intensive training program for clinical fellows who plan to have a major career focus on caring for patients with advanced heart failure, cardiac transplantation and mechanical circulatory support. There is a mix of outpatient subspecialty clinics, cath lab exposure for hemodynamic assessment, as well as an active inpatient service that includes consultations for advanced therapies, and management of admitted heart failure, transplant and long term left ventricular assist device patients. The program is supported by an academic faculty that provides a formalized educational structure and many opportunities for research/academic productivity.
